Delox Chemical Indicators (CIs) provide immediate visual verification of exposure to hydrogen peroxide vapor, offering an essential process control tool that complements biological validation with real-time chemical monitoring.

Unlike biological indicators, which require prolonged incubation, Delox CIs deliver instantaneous feedback through an irreversible color change, enabling rapid identification of potential vapor distribution issues.

Technical Specifications

Delox Chemical Indicators
Indicator type	Type 1 – Process indicator (ISO 11140-1)
Color change	Brown → Green
Substrate	Plastic strip
Packaging	Package of 250 units
Shelf life	36 months (room temperature)

Operational Workflow

Validation Protocol:

Pre-cycle: Strategic placement of CIs at critical locations within the enclosure.
During the cycle: Exposure of the CIs to the complete bio-decontamination cycle.
Post-cycle: Immediate visual verification of the color change.
Interpretation: The expected color change confirms exposure to hydrogen peroxide vapor at the indicator location.

Placement Strategy:

Multiple points: Minimum of 3 locations within the volume to be decontaminated, including the identified worst-case locations.
Critical locations: Areas considered most difficult for the hydrogen peroxide vapor to reach or decontaminate.
BI correlation: Position CIs next to biological indicators whenever possible.
