During the Web Summit week in Lisbon, 15 best health startups were competing in EIT Health Headstart Final Pitch. All of them were granted the EIT Health Headstart 2019, a grant supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology to accelerate innovative startups and SMEs in health area. The EIT Health Headstart Programme provides funding of up to €50 000 to support early stage companies and SMEs in developing new products and services. Selected companies work on their product launch project with support from the regional managers to access local and EIT Health networks.
Among this year’s grantees, Delox awarded the third prize. The winner of the Final Pitch became Restorative Neurotechnologies from Italy and the second place was gained by a Polish startup SensoriumLab.
Our CEO, Fadhil Musa said: “We were aware of the quality of EIT Health programs, so we embraced the opportunity to apply for Headstart as an entrance door to EIT Health network. Before the announcing the winners, it was Balazs Furjes who told that startups should take advantage of this immense network and we believe he was right. Currently, we are field testing our devices, and we feel that EIT Health is the right place to find the right partners, helping us testing and validating our project. After field tests, the next steps will be to raise a second funding round that support the certification of our products and market entrance preparation.”
